Default stock alarm

Is there any way to make my stock alarm noise louder? It's super, duper low and if someone ever tried stealing my car, the only way I'd be able to hear it was if I was within a few feet.

So for now, without spending money on buying a real alarm, is there anything I can do in the meantime?

Save up for a pager alarm. The oem one is worthless.

You would need a relay and a extra siren if you would want to make it louder. This way you can have a alarm siren on it. But thanks to performance mods out there, the factory alarm on your car went down the brown hole. It would be better to invest in a aftermarket alarm, With a 520t back up battery, stealth install, siren in the fender And main and fuel relay relocted in your car with a kill switch on both of them. Get them out the stupied factory location. If you need any help post up it the A/S/V section and we would be glad to help you out.

WTF are you protecting to need all that? All that will be an awesome annoyance to neighbors and shoppers in parking lots. No one cares or pays any attention to car alarms anyway. Just park close and keep an eye on your car.

What is being protected? Your car And who are you speaking for saying that nobody pays attention to a car alarm. Your not speaking for me and alot of people. Its to draw attention to the car. And its not against the law. Anything over 1 min is. Is a theif going to keep playing with your car if they can not shut off the alarm. Nope. Why? Because its to much unwanted attention. And what theif would want that. Keyword none. Anyone taking your advice is setting there self up for failure. Even thou its a good preventive measure. Protect your car how you want. I know what works. And will let anybody that choses to use information that can help keep there car from being stolen told over and over. Thats why we have a sticky in the a/s/v fourm

I wasn't trying to say to not buy an alarm. I mean, you probably have an awesome setup, but I just think it is excessive. --MY OPINION-- As for everyone ignoring alarms, it happens everyday here and even cops don't pay attention. I have seen cops write more citations for false car alarms than catch people breaking into them.

Cool, it seems that you were going against the grain. But this is what we have to do to keep are cars safe. I mean add two sirens in the fender is more then enough. But remember that when you buy a alarm it comes with 1 siren. Why not put it in the fender were it can not be tampered with. I will not put a siren in the engine bay. Its to easy to get to and cut. I tell all my customers it need to go into the fender. And most take my advice. And Yes, I firm beleiver of having a mini peizo in the car. It can barely be heard with the door closed. But when you open it. It will make you close the door real quick and not want to be in the car. In california a car alarm can not be triggred for more then 1min 30sec. If it goes off longer then that you risk ticketed or towing. Or if it goes off more then 3 times in 1 hour. But only if there is a complaint. I had my car towed when out of town for the weekend because some theif popped my hood to disconnect my battery. This was before my gps install. And the alarm kept triggering. They towed my car. I come home to find my car gone and a leter on my door. But long story short. If that what it takes then thats what we need to do.

Both horns? Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean the car horn, yes, that works and it's loud.

When the panic button is pushed all it does it a very loooow beep beep beep. and my lights flash, big whoop.

On the panic button both horns should go off. It should not be a weak beep beep beep. Check to make sure both are plugged up. Theives like to prep car like this ahead of time. Then come back to try to get it. If there both pluged in then you need to check all fuses for the stock alarm system. If not take it to a dealer or forget about it and get a real alarm system.

She what the dealer is going to charge first before you do anything. If the cost is going to be above 150 to do anything you might as well save your cash and get a aftermaket alarm installed right that will protect the car. If not your going to flush money down the drain and still not have protection
