Default Anyone use a transmission cooler? (auto slushboxes)

I was curious if anyone uses transmission coolers for their auto transmissions. The reason I ask is because every civic I see with a blown H/G is usually an automatic transmission. Is it possible that the tranny fluid that runs thru the radiator heats up to a temp where it causes the coolant that runs thru the radiator to heat up to the point of blowing a headgasket? My car in question is a 1992 DX Hatchback if it matters. Thanks!

No unless your retarded and don't pay attention to the gauges in front of you, its has a area marked in red for a reason. Yeah having the transmission fluid run threw the radiator probably makes everything a little hotter not that it isn't already but thats what the fan is for and cold air hitting your radiator. Almost all stock auto cars use the radiator to cool the transmission fluid also and you don't think they would have changed the design of the tranny cooler in the radiator? It's not a Civic but I just put a tranny cooler on my '00 Odyssey van and it's working great.

Honda auto trannies kinda suck in design, no replaceable filter, gotta drain it 3 times to get all the old fluid out.

You could install a cheap one for less than $50 and it's super easy.
