Just wanting to see if it's possible to do this. I placed a order for a non v-tec 85mm head gasket and they sent me a GS-R one instead. Or just a plain old v-tec gasket if there is no difference when it comes to v-tec cause I an not 100% sure it's for a GS-R. So can a v-tec head gasket be used with a LS/B20?

 

call acura and have them check the part numbers, that would be the easy way to do it

 

It's a Cometic head gasket and I checked it and it's for a b series v-tec motor

 

b16 12251-P30-014
ls/b20:12251-P8R-004

so it says part number's are different

98 gsr:12251-P30-014
98 ls :12251-P75-004

 

I know the head gaskets are different from v-tec to non v-tec. I am wanting to know can you use a v-tec head gasket on a non v-tec motor with out having any problems. If I am right the v-tec motors have the extra oil hole in there head gasket. Since the non v-tec motors don't it will just be covered up, right?
