Default Azenis tire owners...

App. how many miles are you getting out of your tires? I have had mine on for app. 1000 miles maybe a little more and my fronts are down to about half tread. I have autocrossed with them for two days and I was in a Hillclimb event which I had 8 laps at app. 5.2 miles each run. No smokey burnouts or anything like that the rest are just normal driving. I had the car aligned right after I put the tires on and I have camber kits. Any thoughts?

You are driving aggressively and wearing the front tires on your FF car. Hmm....makes sense to me!

I've done some snow/ice driving in mine, two 1000 mile trips, and probably a total of ~6000 miles. 1 tire rotation, and my rears are WELL through the wear bars. I'll be lucky to get 10k out of em. If you drive like a jackass at all, you will love them, but for a short ammount of time.

I've got about 8000 on mine and they're still looking pretty damned good. No autocrosses on these, that's what the Khumo's are for. To give you some idea of the mileage I usually get; I put about 25,000 on the stock RE010's!

I don't expect to get any more then 8,000 to 10,000 miles out of mine. 3 months, 2 track days, and 3 autocrosses now and they are looking pretty beat up.

What air pressure is everyone running. I put 300 miles on my car last weekend and noticed a lot of tire gone. I should have my alignment checked again, maybe the guys that did it f'd it up.

Oh, I probably should have added that out of the 55,000 miles I've driven, I've only driven about 4,000 city miles.

FYI: I'm still on the original brakes too!!

The only drawback is the oil change once a month.$$$$

12K miles here, 2 rotations, 4 track events here. Got to love em!

Thanks,

So far with the Azenis I have done:

3 days of autocross = 20 runs
2 days of track sessions = 2 hours
2 trips to the drag strip = 10 runs
1.5 months of highway/street = 3000 miles

I have rotated front to back once. Two tires have about 40% tread left, the other two have probably 65% tread left (I'm only guessing though)

They are dimenishing quickly, haha, but for $60/tire I think it was a pretty good investment. I will most likely get R-compound tires for my next set and put Kumho's on my 2nd set of wheels.

Pressure for the street works best for me at 34f/31b to keep the car from feeling sloppy. This is on a 6x15 wheel. For the track I upped the pressure only a tad bit and it handled great with little rollover. For autox I bump them up to 47f/40b and they still roll a tiny bit. At the drag strip I was doing 22f/33b but who knows if that was right as I know nothing about drag racing.

does the width of the wheel effect the wear at all?

and again, what tire pressures is everyone running? 34f/31 r seems low

I'm certain that the tire pressures that I stated that work so well for me, would be totally different on a wheel that wasn't 6 inches wide. The 205 width of the Azenis is much wider than other 205's, there was a post with pics that showed this. I'm convinced this tire would own even more if it was on a 7 inch weel

I've been running 35F and 33R on the street and 42F and 42-44R during the last 3 autocrosses and I've had them for less than a month so I'm not sure how they're wearing.

May want to check alignment. Bad alignment + soft compound = greatly increased wear.
