Supercharger. Any forced induction... you can get some minor amounts of torque from other bolt-ons and what not, but the amount of money you spend won't be worth it. Put in a 2JZ or a V8. That will give you enough.

seriously this is what you need:

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...74_-1

Features:
# Improved fuel economy
# 130-140% more engine power transferred in a fluid coupling at peak torque
# Reduced transmission operating temperatures
# Large engine RPM drop when shifting gears which results in more power and speed in each gear
# A very small drop in engine RPM when the converter lock-up clutch engages to reduce clutch loading/slipping
# No lock-up clutch slippage, which can plug transmission control ports.

you gotta find one for the S2000 though... this is for Chevy Diesels... Let me know what you find...

you want quick fast torque?

Sprayyyyyyy at a low rpm.....it should double your torque!

I used to love spraying on my gsr at 2krpm....**** used to break the tires free real fast!!!!

Bore and stroke will improve torque. If you don't want to go that route...a higher rear gear ratio should simulate a torque increase.

YESSURR.

but OP, why do you want a torque increase? The F20C makes a respectable 150-160lb/ft. It just makes it at high RPMs. I dont think either motor is UNDRIVEABLE. Whatever you do, dont sacrifice the top end for torque. When you're trying to go fast, you shift at redline. That puts you back at around 6k-7k for the next gear. This makes low end useless.

Without trying to beat on it all the time, for just driving around town normally, the car has more than sufficient torque.

In either case, do you really need more?

I had to go to howstuffworks.com, the dictionary, and wikipedia to figure what you meant by "Torque" because I have an S2000.

I felt a pretty decent gain of torque in the low rpm when I put my exhuast and testpipe on.

go with 4.44/4.77 gears. plants you in vtec fairly quick, and revs freely. takes you out of the weak low end and puts you right in the powerband.

HERES THE REAL ANSWER.... since nobody even seems to know what tq is. Here's a good demo.
my car..... Just remember the magic number 5252 to find tq.
MY CAR:
(360hp x 5252) / 8000rpm = 236ft/lbs.

18 Wheeler:
500hp X5252 / 2500rpm=1050.4ft/lbs

hp x 5252 / peak hp rpm, not redline.

a good way to check a dyno for legitimacy is to make sure the tq/hp lines cross at 5252rpm.

Basically tq just means more power lower in the rpm band. So in general a high reving motor=no tq. This is why streetbikes make like 40ft/lbs crank. Indy cars make jack **** too....and tractor trailers make GOBS.

Also Turbo cars make more earlier, because they basically perform like a bigger displacement engine, thus even if you turned the redline down to 6k my turbo car will make the power most cars will make at 8 or 9 k.
this is also why the AP2 is better then the AP1.
Keep in mind WHEEL tq is not the same as engine tq. Our cars are geared to take advantage of this high rev motor.

take pro rally cars..... they limit hp to 300hp.

so they make 450ft/lbs cause they drop the stock redline back by 30% and then pimp the motor out, this way they make power down low where its easy to handle off road.

also keep in mind superchargers steal hp from the crank unlike turbo's so superchargers always put down less tq. In fact I've seen the stock tq numbers stay almost the same on low boost superchargers. Hence the reason i went turbo.

s/c's on s2000's make alot more power in the upper bandwidth. youd still have to rev it up to get a decent amount IMO.

in order to increase tq, i suggest you get some
gears. also, what do you have, an AP1 or AP2? ive been saying this forever but go get some EMS and get a TUNE. A guy on s2ki.com netted 30wtq across the bandwidth with emanage ultimate and colder plugs. of course, its only as good as the person who tunes the car. you could make more, you could make less, who knows. my .02

I've driven the s2000, and I feel that the car was built more for top end like most Hondas. Just like what the other guy said about the shifting at the red, you'll already be around 6-7k so you wont need that much off the line power. And if you're craving it that bad I wouldn't stay NA, nitrous would be a smarter way to go.
