Default previously unanswered question on power steering conversion.

I read throught the previous power steering conversion post, and the only question I saw that was unanswered was the issue of being able to add fluid to the rack from the breather tee'd off the hardline.

I tee'd off the line to the right of the rear mount, looking at the firewall. I looped the primary inlet and outlet lines. I had my wife move the wheel back and fourth, with one of the lines dissconnected, until fluid stopped flying out.

The rack feels great now, but I want to make sure I have enough fluid in the rack. I basically let the fluid spurt out until it stopped, while the wheel was being turned, than capped it off. Can I add more fluid to the reservoir I used at the tee'd line? Does it go to the same place as the inlet and outline line.? My guess is that it has to, but I haven't actually seen a schematic. I've been filing the reservior and after a short drive it goes down to the rack. I just want to make sure its doing what I need it to. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It would be nice if you could control the level that way, we'll have to hear from someone else.

I never tee those hard lines, partially because it involves what I consider unnecessary effort, but also mainly because I prefer the PS system removal to be 100% reversible without any permanent modification to the rack. Therefore I can only speculate as you have regarding introducing the fluid through those lines. I'd imagine that if it keeps accepting fluid through them, the only place it could be going is the rack and pinion area itself, so I think you should be fine.
