Because then they'll be everywhere. It's just like people talking about Honda bringing back the CRX, it SHOULD NOT happen because it would be all "new car luxury" crap, and wouldn't be the same as the original CRX, and in our case, Prelude.
Besides, you can't one-up perfection anyways...

They got rid of it because of the s2000 IMO.
IF! IF! there was a new prelude, it better be RWD like the s2000 but with a torque monster motor.
otherwise.... its still just a well polished POS.

They should leave the Prelude as it is, it has a huge following and they shouldn't take a risk on destroying that. Like RaysBoomBoomLude said, they created the S2000 and that's what replaced the Prelude. I think that they should focus on that instead of trying to revive the Prelude.

If they made it lame/ugly wouldnt that make our gen's more valuable, or sould I say more desirable.

I didnt say anything about fwd better than rwd. Look at it 240hp 162 trq. vs 200hp 156trq. Even when you boost those things the ratio pretty much stays the same. If I want a rwd car it will have gobs a trq. I dont want to buy Honda's Miata.

if your such a torque fiend why the f*ck do u own a honda at all. its not what the company is about. honda makes small high reving performance engines... inherently with low torque, but that doesnt make them pos's. the 'torqueless' s2000 out performs tons of torquier cars. in my opinion, the amount of performance you get out of an S is rediculous for the price. and trust me, i went from a 158 wtq prelude to a stock S which would probably put down 10-15 less than that.... and the S is on a whole different level than my prelude ever was. theres no comparison.
2)
they will not bring back the prelude, ever. even with the crx, they are thinking about bringing back a crx-like car. it certainly wont be badged 'crx'. they are merely bringing back a small econo car with the same winning formula that the crx had for the company back in the day. honda doesnt do that crap like was done for the camero/charger etc...
3)
the prelude wasnt replaced by the s2000, it was replaced by the 2 door accord which was similar enough that if both were available, they would compete for sales.

Eh, boost is torque.
But I see what you're saying.
I also agree with the guy that said that a "revamped" Prelude would be ugly, basically what I said earlier. Too "luxury" and up to date, I wouldn't like it.

But look at when the S2000 came out, 1999, and how long has the 2 door Accord been around, much longer. I agree that the 2 door Accord and the Prelude did compete, but the Prelude was Honda's sporty 2 door car, not the Accord. Once the S2000 was released, there would be no reason to still make 3 cars to compete with each other. Obviously they will chosse the easier of the 3 to eliminate, the Prelude.
