turbo question
i wanted to know if i were to go turbo on my d16a6 would i have to chip my ecu because i think i read somewhere that instead of chipping my ecu i can use 450CC DSM injectors with Apexi SAFC is this true
The stock HONDA fuel maps will not let your car run on DSM 450cc injectors. You will be luck if the engine even cranks. BTW, an APEXi SAFC is not considered as an "engine management" system. You might as well put Crome, Uberdata, Hondata, ...... instead.
oh ok its cause im kinda new to the turbo thing ill probably go turbo but im going to buy everything like piece by piece its going to be like a homemade turbo but i just wanted to find that out before i go and buy a SAFC thinking it will work good .
I used to have one before I bought a Hondata S200 system. After the dyno/tuning, the SAFC was just there in my car....for "looks". The following week I sold it to someone who could use it, a DSM fanatic. Just remember this: If you are thinking about a new SAFC for around $250, you could easily purchase a S200 Hondata for the same PRICE.

In all honesty, any engine management system is better than a SAFC or VAFC.
