I like Toda, but your gonna end up with alot of opinions and end up from square one asking, so which is best?.... For some reason this is gonna end up like those motor oil debates....

Toda is just nice because of the holes on the outer diameter... me like sticking screwdrivers through there.

I think 5w30 is far too light, I prefer 10w30.

The big alumiun wing with 3 setting of down force are really not rice or are they?

Edit: Comptech is fine.

There are an abundance of available flywheels for the Type R. Among them are Toda, Spoon, Comptech, Fidanza....etc

All of them are similar to the stock flywheel except lighter. There are some people that have had problems with JDM flywheels fitting USDM starter motors - but my feeling is that they were either early renditions of products that had fit/finish issues or poor/sloppy installation. There are a greater number of people with NO problems.

I wouldn't bother with a flywheel upgrade unless you are planning to replace the clutch as well.

Choice of flywheel depends on what YOU like.

I use Spoon btw.

i choose the Spoon 10bl. instead of the TODA 9bl.

is becoz i'm a Spoon worm..... honestly, i think

Spoon's are not light enough. So if u are not a big

fan of SpoonSports, dont get Spoon's.

i would rec. a chromoly flywheel...

co-workers expirience with fidanza aluminum flywheel:

-retap all holes for pressure plate

-ring gear need to be pressed on again (wasnt properly seated)

-crank bolt holes werent aligned very well

-needed to be balanced

over all a pain in the ***....

the only complaint ive heard from chromoly flywheels was the starter/ring gear engagement...but that is easily fixed

00-0187: That's right. You know, translating technical terms from Portuguese to English isn't that easy, just because Portuguese is a shity language for technical purpouses...

JeffNA, that is an interesting price...but are you aware of my whereabouts???
I live in Portugal, usually shipping prices from USA to Portugal are a robbery

but, just to let you know (not to upset you in any manner) i've a price of $350 for the TODA flywheel, includes shipping from japan... you got to agree that is a good value, right??
But if this fails, i always have your contact...ok??
thanks once again for the replys!!

If I were you, I would go with the Comptech Aluminum Flywheel.. It is the best for your money in my opinion.
