yay or nay?? I dont like working on my **** with the metal rod honda gives me becuase the hood forms an odd shape while up when the sun is beating on it..
The hood dampers would help prevent the deformation...but would cf be able to withstand the resistance of the damper/hoodshock??
anyone have any experience with this??

I have read, that having the 'tien' hood dampers are not good for working with carbon fiber hoods. password jdm sells hood dampers that are specifically for carbon fiber hoods if i remember correctly.
I had tien dampers on my vis cf hood, no problems w/ the hood, but my damper did break on the top piece, maybe coincidence, idk.
i would buy the ones made specifically for cf IMO.
hope this helps.

those hood dampers piston is designed to lift metal hoods and not cf, it will probably break the cf if you do use it. For an alternative, iv seen people use only 1 hood damper for a cf hood it i heard it works fine.
not the greatest of ideas with a cheap quality CF stranded hood, like ViS. I've seen those TEIN hood dampers break those ViS hoods while the hood is down cause the damper, which is made for metal hoods, is constantly putting pressure and stress on the hood.

OR A APC ONE

the password jdm ones arent made speciffically for carbon fiber. they are made adjustable so u can release pressure to a point where it is ideal for carbon fiber or metal. and they look baller
I made my own hood damper.. 55# strut a right angle mount bracket was 2 bucks and a half round slotted bolt and boom i can close my hood with one finger and i have a CF hood.
