so i bought one a while ago and i want to put it in before winter but its not exactly a direct fit for me. my friend put the same one in his crx without modding anything. i was just wondering if anyone has one and how they got it in....i also have a slim fan but not sure aboot the wiring. the fan just has one black and one blue wire on it....heres what im working with

Either:
a. your freind is lying about not changing anything.
or
b. He has some different parts on his car than you (SIR hood, traction bars...etc).
Unless he's leaned the radiator, any EG rad will require some cutting to fit.

Eg radiator ? if so check this out - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1967513
I guess this shows what you hav to cut

Would you be able to pull the brownish boot back on the relay and get a couple of angle shots of the wiring going into the relay showing the colors and stripes on the wires, maybe two shots so all four wires could be seen good please, I am working on a big AC System tutorial project, thanks for any help with this relay please, could I also ask for more pics (AC / Heater Stuff), if not, its kewl.
I put an eg rad in my hatch and All I had to cut is the hood. I just cut a little out around where the radiator cap hit the hood. I also had to take the tab off of the bottom and the radiator is just sitting on the crossmember right now. I dont drive the car much at all and am going to a traction bar soon so I am not worried about it.

Your friend is lying. I have a RcAutoworks radiator in my ef sedan. But of course mine didn't sit flush either, thats because these are eg radiators. They can be made to fit perfectly, but they will not with the stock crossmember.
If you don't have the money to buy a traction bar, i would suggest trimming the webbing off the hood so that the radiator doesn't need to have a ridiculous lean to fit.

I trimmed my hood and the front of the crossmember just enough so that the radiator would fit lower into it. Worked for me. My radiator leans just a little bit, but its not bad at all. I will get you some pics tonight.

Doesn't really matter who he asks, the answer is always gonna be "buy an aftermarket traction bar, or modify the stock crossmember". Honestly, those are the only options if you don't want the lean.

You have to cut the radiator support and then make new brackets. As for it costing a lot, its about an hour job or so, we charge $50 per hour. For the quality we produce here, thats not a lot.
As for these fitting in any other chassis, they fit a lot better in DC,DA chassis and of course there a drop in affair for the eg chassis. As for the fan, black is ground, red goes to power. Cut the old fan switch off, should be a blue/black wire, and a black wire. Black is ground, blue/black is power.

I tell every single customer that ask, its advertised as an eg radiator. I never once advertise it as a direct drop in fitment into an ef chassis. Plus if you had any questions our phone number is on our site, its not that hard to get a hold of me Chris. I would of walked you threw the install, and told you all about the fan installation as well.
And here is the description I post every where, please don't make it come across like I was trying to put something past you.
Product Information
This radiator will fit the following model(s):
93-98 DEL SOL ALL MODELS
92-00 HONDA CIVIC ALL MODELS INCLUDES SI.**
97-00 Acura EL with 1.6L engines. ( Canada models only).
2001 Acura EL with 1.7L engines ( Canada models only) .
** (Si models will need two hose adapters from the local parts store to fit on the inlet and outlet connections.)
CORE SIZE: 13 3/4 X 13 5/8 X 5/8"

i know i know im not saying you misled me. i just thought it would go in easier. i suck at modding/fabbing. i'll give it a shot but if not i'll let you know. $50 is not bad at all cause i was quoted at $150 from someone else

$50 is per hour, at the most its going to be $100 if it takes 2 hours.

yeah i plan on getting an aftermarket CM, thats why i was hesitant to put it in before i got one cause i wasnt sure if it would have to get remounted
Well, like Rob said, he can easily notch and re-weld your stock one to fit the taller EG rad.
Or, you can get an aftermarket x-member. The innovative piece bolts right in, and has mounts for the rad.
