anyone have problems with skunk2 spec 2 cams and valvetrain????
i have a jdm itr swap going into my hatch. i got the skunk2 valve springs, ti retainers, high compression valves (stock size) and the spec 2 cams. has anyone heard of any problems running the spec 2 cams with skunk2's own valvetrain? i know that the springs can't handle their stage 3 cams and that the stage 2's put the springs very close to their limit. please post any info on these parts you can, i am installing the motor this week. thanks in advance
In an email from Skunk2 they told me there valve train would hold up to there stage 3's and I was just wondering where you heard they wouldn't?
I have stage 1's with there valve train and just ordered the stage 3's
should I be worried

my friend got Stage 2's w/ ITR/Portflow valvetrain, while installing the exh camgear, the cam broke, using and AEM gear, slid on just fine, we sent it back, but i dunno kinda worries me
this is the second time i have heard of skunk2 cams breaking.ive heard of the stage 3's for a h22 breaking.Anyone else hear anything??
I have heard of quite a few stage 2s breaking. As for the springs, I think they should be fine, but if not you could always go Portflow.
