Default coil pack conversion

has anyone done this or know anything about doing this? i am running a megaquirt on my hatch, and was thinking about going to coilpacks off a gm cuz they are pretty much universal. but i dont know what to do with the distributor, i suppose i could just leave it there and just disconnect it? any ideas?

Get in touch with T1 Race development, they make cam trigger kits and would probably be able to guide you in the correct direction.

You can remove the distributor completely and put a cam seal in just like the one behind your vtec solenoid Thats what I did on my build.

with a crank trigger the ignition timing is way more acurate and very tunable, and its just pimpin to see a row of coilpacks under the hood. but the bad thing i just found out is that the cam trigger setup and a hall effect sender is about 700 bucks , but if anyone has a cheaper idea let me know please

Honestly I say leave the stock stuff be. Honda did a good job at making it work and there is tons of builds out there to proove it. Leave the coil packs to the Ks. If you really want them, well, K20 your car .
