Default Honda Tick...

Okay, I know that Honda's are notorious for having noisy valves. And I also ride a Yamaha R6 sport bike with the same typical issue.

My question is, where do you draw the line between a "tick" and a "knock"?

I think mine has gotten a little bit louder, or maybe I am just being cautious. I have a CAI with K&N cone, and Vibrant axle-back exhaust. Would the I/E mods make the valves react any differently to create the louder ticking?

If I listen closely and carefully, it sounds like its coming from behind the valve cover. It is most audible if I listen right near the intake manifold.

Eh?

Listen to your tick!!!
Where does yorus sound like it's coming from?

The injectors also click, thats what you hear from behind the VC. You can pull it off and check the lash. The DIY is somewhere on the internet. You basically just TDC each Cylinder in firing order (1-3-4-2) and measure the clearance.
