acceleration differance in coupe or sedan?
Maybe just slightly because the sedan is a tad heavier?
Same exact mechanics except for the sedan having 4 doors. Otherwise, there shouldn't be much difference at all (if any.)

I've wondered sort of the same thing- Coupes and Sedans, DX through EX trim, have the same EPA fuel economy estimates. You'd think a coupe DX would have slightly better fuel economy than a sedan EX with the accessories and moonroof.
well im asking cause my friend just offered me a KILLER deal for a blue 2006 coupe SI for 17,000 with only 22k miles on it. but im 18 and currently own a 1992 SI hatch and passangers getting in and out is starting to kill me. A 4-door is what i truly want, but that deal is too damn good. im hoping to talk him to 15.
Ive driven both and to be honest i cant feel the difference the only difference i was told a few friends noticed was that my Coupe felt more planted then there sedans with the same springs Eibach sportlines so maybe thats the only performance difference.

That's probably due to the flex inherent in a sedan chassis compared to a coupe's- the space between the A and C pillars. It's less of a problem now with modern bracing but still might be apparent

yea. maybe ill go test drive a sedan and just get my own opinion. but $15,000 for a garage kept, non smoker, 2006 SI is a slamming deal
its blue which is the only color i want, no navi though =[

I think it all really depends on if its a "factory freak" or not. Some cars coming out of the factory are a little quicker than others. My friend had a 2007 coupe and I have a 2007 sedan but I could beat him stock. Since then I have added an exhaust so its not even a contest anymore.

Eibach sportlines are made for the coupe correct? could be why they felt different in the sedan. I mean, the HFP suspension has different part numbers for coupe and sedan.

not really a killer deal for a car that's out of warranty in 14k miles. buy a sedan, get your four doors and a warranty for $3k more than what you're friend is asking.
I drove coupe and sedan back to back when I bought my sedan. 60lbs doesn't make much of a difference.
