Did they make the manifolds integrated with the heads like they did on the j30? That't seriously gay. I don't know of another car that's engineered like that.

The 3.5 tl's are in the 250-260 range with bolt ons. this is a fairly serious motor... 0-60 int eh sub 6 second range(5.7 tested) and its doing that with a 3.55 final drive, very impressive. if it had a 4.25/4.5/4.7 it would be a serious ragging machine

The fact that Honda, the most modified car company in the country not made in the US, engineered a hell of a car but intentionally designed it to make putting headers on it impossible. The J32 Type S engine makes over 20 hp with a decent header as far as I have seen, this engine would likely make similar power. They have J-pipes, but that is only like 6 hp and leaves the engine with the small stock primaries.

Do you think people who are buying new accords are buying it with modding in mind? I don't. I feel the 08 accord V6 is just an great DD, that's it.

The fact that the primaries are molded into the head are NOT a performance issue, they can still be ported and tapered the same as any other header. they are not ideal, but gay? that's not right. Infact, I think it's safe to say that if one wanted to modify the head, one could in fact rid themselves of that collector portion, tap holes, and add a conventional header. but I dont think that is necessary to make decent power here
I don't know. People have been modding Hondas since well before I was able to drive. They engineered a car that can hang with sports cars in its price range, for example the 350z, Mustang GT etc. I realize that the Accord v6 is still a midsize family car, but they have to foresee people modding it. To tell you the honest truth, I am more than likely going to buy an Accord 6-6 this summer and I am going to do all the boltons, and possibly an s'charger in the future. That is one thing that aggravates me, since in my research I have found that headers on a J32 make a very nice power gain, probably 2-3x as much as a B-series typically. But I won't be able to do that, even if I wanted. I think you guys took it too harshly when I called it gay lol. It's not like I decided I didn't want one because of it
I mean come on, one of the primary modifications to a car's powertrain is to replace the exhaust manifold with a header(s).

I agree with you... it would have been ideal in a standard format, perhaps this has a quite a bit to do with the pzev and ulev qualifications. I am here to tell you... it's a heck of a car in 6-6 form. I think we need to get the internals apart to see if the head can not in fact be modified through exhaust porting before we make a good or bad judgment... we may in fact find that it is better as there would be no rough seam joint and/or gas exit angle issues with this design.
What about the possibility of a J32S head swap? I read in another forum that somebody took the cams out of an 06 TL-S and they worked in the J30, so what about swapping the whole heads? This would not only result in an increase in power, but would allow you to replace the manifolds. I'm guessing it would be too expensive to be worth it for the extra power potential.
I have also herad of a RL cam swap, but I am just starting to learn about this new engine car combo... I have only had my car for about 10 days, she still only has 100 miles on her
Yeah it's not like B-series hybrids and ****, with millions of sources of info online. 100 miles, not even close to being broken in yet. If I bought the car I'd probably put 100 miles on it the first night
