What MTF for LSD GSR trans?
What LSD do you have? If it is a helical LSD (ITR or Quaife), Honda MTF is a good choice. If it is a clutch pack unit, you need to run what the manufacturer recommends.

right.
I started putting GM Synchromesh Friction Modified in my car at around 150K miles. My car now has 260K on it, with all original engine and tranny internals and it still shifts flawlessly, even this morning when it was 15 degrees outside.

anyone been using Amsoil 10w-30 synthetic in there tranny??</TD></TR></TABLE>
Do not EVER put synthetic motor oil in your transmission. It is far too slippery for the gear synchros to work properly.
I don't know if Honda MTF is synthetic, but it's not motor oil. It has friction additives for proper synchronizer operation.
I've been hearing pretty good things about Amsoil's Synchromesh, a 5w-30 fluid that they say replaces Honda MTF as well as MTF for several other car makes. I may try that after I use these last 6 quarts of GM Synchromesh Friction Modified, if I still have my car by then.
