DOHC ZC help
hi everyone i need some help with a dohc zc i just put on my ef. it was working fine for the first 2 weeks then out of no were i started to get lag on it a bit. like 2 days after the lag started it just died on me it wouldnt even idle anymore, it would just turn off. i checked my plugs and found out that they were all carbon fouled. i tried cleaning them up and and putting them back on but it just fouled them up again. i am using a pr4 on a stock dohc zc. oh and the ecu isnt giving out any engine codes or anything. does anyone know what it may be?
hey i just replaced the igniter and that didnt seem to be the problem. its doing the exact same. turns on and stuff but wont idle right i have to give it gas to keep it on.
it could be a combination of things: you could be running really rich/your not getting a good enough spark.
check the heat range on the plugs, check the wires, and check the dizzy.
but honestly man, good luck trying to find comparable parts for that ZC. i had one a while ago, and i couldn't find a whole lot

You need to clear up that code 9 before your car will run well. Check your wiring going to the CYP sensor at the front of the head.

You didn't search hard enough. There are plenty of parts available for that motor. Please don't spread biased information around.l
And I would also recommend using a PM6,PG7, or PM7 ECU over a PR4, but an ECU is not the cause of your problems here.

The sensor isn't in the distributor. It's on the front side of the cylinder head and has two wires running to it.
