Default Raising Exhaust Piping? (searched)

How is it possible to raise a cat-back exhaust using the rubber hangers? Are there other hangers that can be purchased to raise it all up? What do most people do in the event where their exhaust hangs too low?

P.S.

I've tried placing the exhaust hangers higher up (using the middle of the hangers), but I've still got a good 3" of room to bring it up some more. I'm really at a loss as to what I can do other than to cut and reweld the hangers on the exhaust so that it sits higher

You cut the insides of the rubber hanger and use an adjustable worm style clamp to make the hanger smaller, thus raising the exhaust piping up.

Could someone give me an example of this (either a pic or a better description of said modification)? I don't really understand what you're all talking about :s

Do you know what a hanger is?

Well if you examine your exhaust pipe they are these little rubber pieces attached to the frame and the exhaust pipe. You can bend the metal piece that connects to the rubber piece, or do a zip tie, on your hangers. I recommend you dont use plastic zip ties, you find one made of metal.

You have one in the front on your down pipe.
2 behind the cat, 2 more a little further down and 2 holding your muffler on

Yeah, I know what/where the rubber hangers are.

So you suggest I bend the arms that hold them to the frame? That and/or use zip ties to hold the exhaust up instead...

I'll give it a shot this afternoon.

would it not be easier to ziptie the exhaust's hangers to the metal hangers on the frame (using multiple ties)? or would that cause too much vibration
