Default BPI velocity Stack vs Blox velocity stack

hey boys i have had my car for a few years now and it came with the K/N typhoon cold air intake....it is a pretty intake.. last night i purchased the bpi flowstack kit and an adaptor thingy which will alllow the bpi velocity stack to attatch perfectly to my cai..... i've seen different reviews on it from its the best cheap mod for the car....then i saw 98vtecs review a really long time back and i can't remember but i think you actually loose power?? ...my question is...bpi says 5whp...would i be able to see 5whp...i also have header/im/full exhaust/

You really have to stop listening to company sites posted gains. If it's from the manufacturer ofcourse it's going to be skewed. Hell I have a K&N intake add in my face right now that said it will add 30whp to an 350z. You might see a little gain on a real dyno (not the butt dyno) but again everything for everyone is different and everything is relative to your build. Again you have an auto so your going to see less from mods due to drivetrain loss. Automatics have almost TWICE the drivetrain loss as manuals. You could gain 20-25whp just from doing the swap. So again don't listen to sites claimed posted gains. Down that path ricers roam.

woooah...time out if ur saying u have an auto prelude with like 300whp and u convert it to standard ur going to gain like another 50?....so ur saying the hytech header i bought dynoed at 20whp is not going to give me the full 20 as a bolt on?....babyboy im confused

say u have a car that comes stock with 300whp and u have it in both auto and manual and u do a 20whp header on both...ur saying the standard would have more hp...if both auto and standard started at 300whp

i deff agree with u now after some research...in a 200hp standard prelude the whp is around 165whp hence therefor producing a 16.2% loss in hp for through the drivetrain...typically on fwd sticks its between 10-15% so thats a little high...on automatic preludes the whp is far less starting with 195hp at the crank to 145-150whp generating a 23-26% loss in hp through the drivetrain....so stick ludes loose 35hp....and autos lose 45-50hp...ahhh thats garbage so 20whp added to a stick would actually only give an auto 10-12whp

on an auto producing 250hp to the crank the drivetrain can result in a loss of 60whp....and in a stick 40-45whp

This is like the 4th thread you have had someone tell you the answer to this question. Yes, manuals make more power to the ground then automatics.

No **** dummy ..jk ...i knew that standards throw more power the wheeeeeeeeeeeeeelz thats why they are the shittt...however this post was simply to decide if extra boltons or other mods such as turbo or nitrous are lost through the drivetrain and they are...thanks

Man your starting to confuse me lol. Just stop buying lil things. Don't trust what companies post their product will produce most are lies. Save this money and spend it on the manual swap. Again I stress your starting to sound like your heading down a ricer's path.

as long as the intake is 3" in diameter, it will fit.

You will never here me or any representative of BPI claiming gains. What you see is what our satisfied customers achieved on their particular application and setup. Nothing more.

Now statistically Hondas have achieved 0-5% with our product. Now while the gains realized are relatively small they again are often realized across most of the usable powerband.

Peace & have a Wonderday Christmas Holiday.
