Yea, I was a little hesitant at first to buy it because of that. The first detail I had about 6 hours into and the second detail was another 2 hours. I'm just glad it doesn't need to be repainted.

I used a Dewalt buffer with regular Ardex compound, polish, and wax. I also have a Porter Cable Orbital buffer that I will be using to keep it in shape from now on now that the intense work is out of the way.

They look good. Did you mount them to the floor?

For right now they are just mounted to the seat bolts since the car isn't going anywhere til I get the CV issue sorted out. If I decide I'm keeping them I'll make mounting plates.

Good to hear that. Don't want you too be too unsafe.

Good seeing you again. I hope the seat-rail company comes through for you...sounds like a pain in the ***. It really isn't that hard to get a rail modified though, if you can't find a set of CRX seats (they are a bitch to find in good shape and very pricey for being old stock seats).

Good luck with the car.

can't believe how well that paint came out...now I miss the car lol, just happy someone who has the time for it has it now, its a shame it sat for so long...hope the seats work out, I'll keep an eye out for some stock seats for ya, if I hadn't found a use for my extra seat I'd hook ya up...

you should def pick up a roll bar that has a harness bar built in if you want to use harnesses...any other way is extremely unsafe...nice crx tho

x2...and bigger clubs like NASA won't let you run with a 4pt. harness. 4pt. harnesses will ride up on you as well. I highly suggest picking up a bucket seat and 5/6 point harness and a ROLL BAR, not a harness bar.

The paint looks great

Update:

11/23 - Began tear down for timing belt, tensioner, & water pump only to find the tensioner bolt was stripped hardcore. Everything is back together until the new bolt arrives.

11/24 - Thermostat housing bolt is stripped as well.

Not a good weekend so far

Damn man that really sucks...

I have an LS block with lots of bolts in it, so if you need some bolts, let me know!

Good luck with the beast. B20 bottom end plans sound pretty awesome.

I also have a b18b1 thermostat housing, it might work for you... Not sure really. I know the water pipe is different for the b16 since it has the lines for the oil cooler, but the thermostat housing is removable, so I think it would be able to be swapped with the b18 one...

Update: December 4th 2007

Picked up a ton of OEM Honda tune up parts: Water pump, Tensioner (and a new bolt), Water Pump (and new bolts), Thermostat (and new bolts), Spark Plugs, Ignition Wires, Cam Seals, Crank Seal, Upper & Lower VTEC Solenoid gaskets, Coolant, and Tranny Fluid.

Gotta love the dealer to dealer discount

Notice the intake cam is off by one tooth

And the hole that had to be drilled so we can get this damn stripped tensioner bolt out
