Default Speedometer Question

well i got the stock 0-130mph civic dx speedometer. i see the eg and ek meters goto like 140 or 160 or sumpthing. if i replaced mine with on of those, would i have to adjust the speedsensor in the tranny or adjust anything else, or would it function correctly if i slapped it on and went big?

What do you plan on doing with the car, because all speedometers already go quite a bit higher than their actual top speed (stock). If you're not going to be exceeding your gauge's reading in speed then it's just a ricer thing to do.

None of the USDM EG clusters go past 130 MPH. The only USDM EK cluster that goes past 130 is the Si EM1 cluster. If you can get ahold of a UKDM Civic cluster, the speedos go up to 140 MPH for all models.
