Default spark plug sleeve.

so i just got the new radiator in the integra last night and i was driven the car today and all of a sudden i heard a tumping noise coming from the bay....so i pulled over and the plug and plug wire had poped out of the head. so i tryed to thread the plug back in and the sleeve seems to be stripped so it wont thread back in now. so im guessing ill have to pull the head and replace the sleeve or head now. any comments/options/opinions would be nice. motor is a b18a1 in a four door GS (1990).

Take the head to a machine shop, then can rethread it for like 30-40 bucks.

So is your spark plug intact and the head is stripped? Or is your plug broken in half with the threaded part stuck in the head?

Try to retap the head. If that doesn't work and you don't really care - take it to a shop and they can drill out the threads and retap with a Perma-Plug thing with the head still on the car. They put some kinda foam down in the CC beforehand to catch most of the shavings. If you want to do it yourself, you can buy the kit from Advance for like $40 (I have one that I never used if you're interested)

I had a similar problem, however I took my head off and had it fixed and resurfaced + a valve job & pressure test for ~$200 - not including the $$ I spent on new gaskets.
