Default Local Mugen Si

Last night I checked out the Mugen Si at the local dealership. It was still in the plastic wrap and the front lip wasn't on yet. Having read that dealerships are marking these cars up like crazy I asked how much they were going to ask...$500 over sticker.

So if anyone is really thinking about getting one, this one might be a good deal.

Personally I'd rather have my navi si sedan. I'm not a fan of body kits and big wings

This car is not going to last long at $500 over sticker. That is why I'm posting this, you can believe it or not. It might be gone already for all I know. If someone is serious about one of these cars it's at least worth checking out.

Sounds like your dealership is going to rip someone off. Someone could fly here from anywhere in the country and have a sweet road trip home for less than the ridiculous mark-up you're talking about.

I'm just looking out for anyone that is going to get one of these rare cars that doesn't want to get ripped off.

I wonder if the Honda commercial I watched today that said 2.9% financing on all 07-08 Civic's includes the Mugen

I would be nice if the markup here was $500. The Mugen Si at Gillman Honda in Selma had a $5000 markup. Right beside that was an S2000 CR with a $5000 markup as well. I spoke to one of the salesman and he was like "Oh that's what they all go for."

I replied, "Funny, it's still here!" ***-hat...

im pretty sure every honda dealership is going to mark up their Mugen Si because its Limited..every dealership will mark theirs up however much they want and eventually someone will buy it even tho its a rip off...if i was gonna spend 30k+ on a honda it will be for a s2k rather than the mugen si

Well GUNN HONDA in San Antonio hasn't marked any of their cars up. They didn't mark up the Sis when they first came out and I am under the impression that they won't mark up the Mugen either. It's already priced high enough as it is.

Although since the Si wasn't marked up it was on a mad back-order and all the ones that came in for the first few months were already sold.

So I can only imagine that the Mugen will be the same way.

Yeah that's a LIE. He's full of it. Typical salesperson I guess. I like how they put the markup on paper "Market Adjustment"

So I stopped by the dealership at lunch to look at this thing. I definitely like the way it looks better than the regular Si, but I still refuse to pay $30k for a civic.

I couldn't really get better pictures because of how it was parked. Enjoy.

$40k? Damn. Can't be as bad as the Ford GT my local dealer brought in over a year ago. I believe the mark up was $155k. They wanted something around $250k for the car.

I don't see why anyone would be surprised. This happened at a local dealer but it was just a normal Si sedan. They took the wheels and seats. My friend had a deposit on the car too.

I'm pretty sure we would sell our Mugen at sticker... and at least it isn't a Ferrari with a 2 year waiting list, unless you pay 50k and get a 6 month wait still...

Somehow I don't think that's going to help catch them.
