no power to coil
i tried turning over my car the other day and it wouldn't turn over. i took a voltage meter to the coil and i wasn't getting any power to it so then i put on another dizzy and same thing it would turn over .so i am assuming that this is a problem in my wiring or could it be that both the the dizzys are shot? or could i have a short somewhere in the harness?

here is a simple test to test the icm and coil unless your loaded with tons of money like this guy.

Testing the coil and ignitor go without saying. But if you have enough parts laying around (I believe there are 13 distributors at my house) Then it is sometimes easier to just try a different coil or ignitor. And btw n00b, I have made my living working as a honda mechanic.

i see but you were telling the guy to replace it and if it didnt start then charge the battery ?? not sure what that is going to do it the battery is charged and turning over. do you still work for a dealer?. or some shop that throws parts at cars and hope it fixes them
