Today was an amazing day I got to meet up with a few of the guys from R-Speed, H-Pimp, 01PYITR, DavidNyc, Neomugen and a few others for a meet at Yohan (now called Mitsuwa) for some lunch, and a little shopping at the JDM bookstore.

afterward we took a scenic route from the GWB area to Bear Mtn.

all I can say that the views of the Hudson river was real exilarating and the turns and hills that we have encountered were real awesome.

I was amazed at how many jaws were dropped today seeing a Black ITR, my red 95 GSR, and like 7-8 other PY ITRs cruisng down those curvy roads in a line and on the highway. The most frequent comment I remember hearing from passerby's were "Wow...ITR's"

Overall it was a great day. Got to meet new people, make new friends and share the love of our favorite hobby with one another.

I really look forward to our next get together which I hope will be a barbecue at some park next time.

It also was awefully hot today so driving thru the mountains was a bit better cuz it was cooler driving under tree cover. Man I regret ripping out my entire A/C system
from my GSR....

It was a great meet. Chasing the Modena on the way home was the icing on the cake. he he.

 

man...everytime there is a R-Speed meet, i always have to go to some family function.... WHY WHY WHY......

did you guys get stuck at the GW bridge traffic?...traffic was really bad at around 2pm

must've been nice seeing all those typeR's lined up in traffic

The R-speed meetings are open for anyone to plan. Just send out an email from your email list and start the planning. The next event will be meeting at an autocross. Most likely a NASA event. http://www.nasanortheast.net

Dave is right, if you have an idea, just send an Email and we will discuss it. A NASA-X event is a good one that we have been tossing around for a while. Remember that local NASA is doing a few track events this year as well, I will be attending their day at Limerock in November, "wish I could make it sooner." A bunch of us already race, it would be great if we showed as a club including some new guys and tore up the course. A great day to learn alot and have loads of fun, Oh, BTW it is addictive and The WRX/ Subi Team is getting Too Big! Last time I went there were only 5 of us or so out of like 90 cars...

BTW, anyone know what's sup with Rob's car. Did he got home safe?

 

I dunno, I think his VAFC was acting up. I suspect that he probably didnt solder all the wires properly.

I spoke to Dave tonight, I believe that the next R-Speed meet will be on July 7th or so...but we'll discuss this by email...
