Default Questions on lube...

so I got my new act today!!! now I just have get some other little random stuff, gaskets MTF and such. Do you need to pack the release bearing or the pliot bearing at all?? what kind of lube do you use to grease everything down?? like high temp stuff or what I have wheel bearing grease but im not sure what to use.. any other stuff to replace while its all torn apart

if its a barring it will most likely be a roller barring, and the pins will already be packed in with grease. where as a bushing is a soft metel that doesnt need any kind of grease or anything.

Hey the guy's trying to help you...

Only put a light coat of high temp grease where the throw out bearing slides.

Don't put any grease on the rotating part of he throwout bearing. I also put a small amount of high temp grease on the splins that slide through the clutch disc.

Any excess grease will find it's way to the flywheel surface, not a good thing.

well then high temp grease it is then, is this the same stuff that you can use on wheel bearings or what?? I was going to use some 80w-90 gear oil
