94 worth it?
so i found this 94 integra rs with a broken timing belt five speed 122K on the miles is tit worth it to buy it for 900? it is a 94 and who knows the damge of the snapped timing belt..but iwant opinions i also just found out that the car has been sitting there since july w/o running

I would say if the timing belt just snapped and they just turned off the car immediately, which wouldn't have messed up anything (hopefully), then yea, pick it up. If it has internal damage like belt valves or anything like that, then it's kinda iffy.

A snapped timing belt would cause the engine to die anyway, and the rotational inertia remaining in the crank and camshafts, now out of sync, would certainly bend valves anyway. Turning the key off is not going to make the slightest bit of difference.
To the OP, it should be a good deal if you know how to rebuild an engine, and can install valves, valve guides, pistons, etc. yourself. Otherwise, skip it.

what if you just take the engine out and take apart those parts you were talking about that have inertia and refix the whole timing area? would that be ok? sry i dont know much about this sort of thing and if i sound stupid...then let me know
