pulling fenders for wider wheels?
So I was browsing through the appearance/cosmetics when I came across this picture:

All I wanna know is are those fender flares molded on or are those fenders actually pulled to look like that.
I wanna do a crazy wide wheel setup on the ek and thats basically the look i wanna go for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I can't find a tasteful flare kit for my 99 hatch.
Thanks.

So basically they just cut the fender on an arc of the wheel well, pulled it out and welded some more metal in the empty part?
I know its gotta be more complicated than that.
Know of any write ups?

ya thats pretty tight and all, but it's just not wide enough for me.
I want a very tasteful looking pull, and I think that fit represents that perfectly.
I dont wanna be riding blades like that and all, but I was thinking about 16x9 TE37's all the way around. Probably +25 offset, really haven't gotten to that point yet.

I would have to think they were pulled with a aggresive wheel setup like that.I would think if the flares were made of fiberglass then the body filler would crack if the wheel ever hit it when traveling up and down in the well.I know the vdub guys in europe do some crazy stuff with the fenders over there.

I opted against actually having something like that done next year for my xB since the paint is pretty good and i'm keeeping this project EXTREMELY low budget since i dont want the mods to out value the car lol
I ended up picking up a set of CF flares and will mount in the spring with a 0 offset wheel
