Ran into some weird problems yesterday. First my ignition started to cut in and out kind of like turning your key on and off, the battery light flashed and I head the fuel relay click. Then my clock stoped showing the time like it supposed to when you have the car on. The clock will show the time when I press the button next to it... it is like the clock does not realize the car is on. Then my oil light started doing strange things. It started flashing at consistent intervals. I turned the car off and then the oil light did not come on like it usually does before start up. I noticed it flash again today but only once on my drive home. Car runs fine.

Sounds like a battery or ground short somewhere, I am just not sure where to start looking.

Any ideas?

 

Strange, clock came back on during lunch.

 

if u jiggle/tap the key does it cut in and out?

lots of the time it is related to 2 things:

Defective main relay


Defective ignition switch (the plastic switch that is replacable on the column.
