To CW owners: Paint fade question...
I own a '98 CW ITR and have 16k miles on it. I bought the car from FL where it was either garaged or covered most of the time. The paint itself is in great shape, but I notice that there is a lack of gloss on it compared to say... the white on a GSR.
Do you guys experience the same thing on 97/98's? No matter how much wax I use, I can't get a deep shine to it... it looks shallow. The hoods the worst...
Any similar problems? Solutions?

Thats something I havent thought of... I wonder how thought would come out...
I think I just wash the car too damn much (3-4 times weekly...) haha...

Mothers Clay Bar
Meguires 7 Cleaner Wax
Liquid Glass - 2 Coats
3 Coats of Meguire Professional 26 Yellow Paste Wax
Do this about once a month and it will shine better than new. Ask anyone who saw my old GSR you could park it next to a brand new one at the dealership and the white just had a "glow" to it.

try a light buffing compound
(applied with a machine) >> probably need a professional for this

I use Griots Clay Bar/Polish/Wax and Car Wash and my 98 looks great. I usually wash it twice a week and cover her up every night and if she's not going to be driven for a few hours, usually using a qucik detailer to make sure the dust/light dirt from driving is off of her so the cover doesn't scratch it. I'm not as **** as I sound...really...

Louis,
Maybe it is only you?
Seriously, I would use a clay bar as suggested before and use a good carnuba wax. Zymol works well. But, not the Zymol you buy at the auto parts store. Go to http://www.zymol.com and get the cream. Here is the link to purchase it http://www.zymol.com/creamca.htm
Also, if you guys want a good laugh look at some of the prices on Zymol waxes. Here is the link http://store.zymol.com/zcat/ShopXpress?SHOWALL=1

CLAY BAR, CLAY BAR, CLAY BAR. makes all the difference in the world. I use the claybar, Meguiers cleaner wax 2 coats,. then I use Meguiers Gold Classic wax 2 coats and it shines better than new. I do this once a month and the car feels like glass all the time. If I ever get caught in a rain storm (Only happened once) I just park it in the garage and take the absorber to it, a little quick detailer, and presto just like new. PS the clay bar is a pain in the ***, takes a LONG time and you have to be very attentive because you cant see where you have been, you can only hear where you need to go. It worth it though
