Car idling from 1k to 2k??? EGR Vavle? PLEASE HELP!!!!
Ok, I'm confused here. I've been searching the forums here about EGR Valves and for 92-95 civics, they only came on VX Models. So...What the hell is wrong with my EX? Because I have a EX Model, and my car idles from 1k to 2k even when warmed up already. I took the car over to my friend's house and he unplugged a connector, connected to the intake manifold. This isn't my car, but here's a picture of what i mean, you could say it's like below the intake manifold, but still connected on the intake manifold.

When he unplugged this connector, my car didn't idle crazy anymore, it just sat where it should be at the marker near 0, but the check engine like is on. By reading other topics about EGR Valves, it sounds very similar. He said that it's my EGR that needs to be cleaned or get a new one. EGR Valve on a EX? Also, my car sometimes dies when starting up, and I usually have to wait for like 5 mins or so before I start it up again and it starts up, again, sounds like a EGR thing.
Can ANYONE HELP ME!!!!
ANY information is GREATLY appreciated!

Whatever he unplugged, plug it back in. The problem is not the EGR valve that you do not have.
It is most likely the FITV (fast idle thermal valve) located at the bottom of the throttle body.

Unplugging the IACV will make the car idle at 450rpm or stall, it will not cause an increase in idle speed.
EGR pintle problem will cause the car to idle rough as ****, and stall out, you do not have one so that is not the problem.
Check the cruise control vacuum line. It should connect right where the arrow is on that car, and it looks like that line is dangling down there by the power steering hose in that pic. That is more than likely the problem, if not, see below.
Check the canister purge solenoid, its under that black shroud right above the injectors and holds the harness. Unplugging that will open the solenoid, and create a vacuum leak that is sourced from the fuel tank.

Of course. I dont drive it unplugged. I dont like seeing my check engine light on. Also, I dont think it's the FITV, as there doesnt seem to be any problems by my throttle body.

hm.....I'll take some pictures of what I'm talking about and see if that's what you're talking about. I'm not 100% sure yet.
