=0 was the thought going on in my head.
The lowest i've been quoted for a used tranny + install is about 1800 from a reputable shop, the dealer quoted about 2300.
I've been quoted about the same for a rebuild of my ls tranny 1800-2000
I've looked around for some here on h-t in the marketplace, not that bad of prices, but i have no idea the condition of these trannys, at least from a shop i'm guaranteed some form of warranty.
I've looked around online & on ebay as well. Las Vegas of Acura has an ITR one for 1650,( I would perfer a gsr tranny but that LSD would be nice) and other places i've seen have been a little over 1800.
So my question is what do you believe I should do and I would appreciate your reasoning. Thank you.

Seconded. You should not need a warranty as Honda MTs are very stout, if not for some weak syncros here and there.
If you are worried about installing a transmission yourself, it is actually a very straightforward process and I personally think getting the pin in the shift linkage is the most challenging part as far as head scratchers.

payed 2300 to have my mt rebuild on my ls... never again, will always do it myself considering the shop forgot to put a bolt in and i blew it up few blocks down the street and they then took 2 weeks to fix their screw up Cottmans Transmission

that would usually be my first thought on what to do but right now i have a bent mainshaft(i believe) and a cracked tranny case causing a large puddle under the car thats why i suppose i'm looking for the quick fix even if it costs me a bit more, but i'm going to keep looking around tonight and send a few calls out tomorrow in hopes of finding a reasonable deal.
