Default Custom headliner?

I've been stirring up some ideas for headliners on my 92.

the stock ones don't fit.

so i need some sort of customizations.

and clue as to what could be easier than trying to fiberglass it?

also give some input on wut you think of the looks of it if you want.

This is my 92' 3" chopped top prelude.

All of the metal on the roof was replaced with an 1/8" lexan glass (stronger plexiglass).

Riding on...

-Koni Yellow adjustable shocks

-Neuspeed Springs

-Megan Racing cat-back

-DC 4-2-1 Header

-AEM cool air Intake

-Enkei 17" Rims

-VIS Carbon Fiber Hood

-Tenzo R racing seats

-H23 Motor (Was going to put a New Zealand H22 in, but the guy dicked me over by putting it in his accord instead. Though he already has an rsx, so its a wasted perfectly good motor.)

ummmm, good question.

theres really not much inspiration.

just weight reduction mostly, and aerodynamics.

plus it gives a different look than any other prelude out there.

Why would you want a headliner when you already did this?

Post pictures from inside the car looking up... I just can't imagine how you would do a headliner when it's all plexi.

no not a plexi headliner....fiberglass.

i dont have any inside pictures right now.

but the inside is bare metal.

i dont want the headliner where the plexiglass is.

i want it for the sides of the interior.

Do you think an interior place could help you with the headliner? Pretty sure most places would've done this kinda job before.

are you like 5' tall??

or you must do Teh GangsTa Lean! cause honestly how the hell do you fit in a 3" chopped top?

how did you reinforce the roof structure?
it doesnt look like it would be too safe in a rollover accident....

Yea, I'm not very tall at all and my head touches the roof.

That car is no longer a Coupe, it's now a Fastback.

It might make it easier to help if you get some inside shots. Do you have a profile shot?

I think that you just took out a lot of the cars support. The metal roof serves as a brace and twists while you are in hard cornering, with this present I can see the fiberglass twisting also in deep turns and then that will eventually lead to cracking and breaking, hell it might lead to warping your existing body. Just my .02 cents though

yes, but it has been talked about before in the past. I'm not sure when, but I have seen pictures and discussions about it previously. It takes our good handling car and limits the capabilities when you do this. Kudos for being unique, may you never auto x though

Auto Xing in a prelude. Why dont they just cut the top off it period and put one of those heavy duty roll cages in there like Jeeps have.

If you dont think its mine.....I'll be at the hondatech meet on the 17th....

or http://www.myspace.com/youareafuckingdisease.

its got pics of me with the car.

also i have auto x with it.

it works out fine there is no support problems with cutting the roof down.

as for being unsafe.

i have considered this.

there is a shop around me called T&R auto body.

The guy who owns it is Tracie.

he has been on overhaulin, pimp my ride, and monster garage, and he is going to be installin an aluminum billet roll cage in it.

Don't worry about these guys. Remember, this is H-T, aka Hater-Tech, at times.

The car looks good, definitely unique. As for the headliner, I suggest getting some stock inside side pillars and create a fiberglass mold from them. Then cut off the part that you don't need. Painting it the same color as the exterior would set it off.

BTW, is there a back seat in there? I'm assuming not.
