Default Having Major Issues!!

Well finally boosted my ride and im having major problems turning it on. We have put several maps on it even cold starts and it wont start. It cranks and almost starts but then doesnt. Its running super rich but we still cant find the problem out. when we roll start it, it will start but i have to keep throttle on it or it will turn off. What could it be. Its tuned enough to drive normally so we dont know the issue. Please help.

have you made sure you have ZERO CEL's?

A "Limp Mode" CEL will cause the ECU to run off a set of maps in a different processor on an OBDI board. That will cause bigger injectors to flood the **** out of the motor.

look at your plugs.. are they gas soaked??

if your timing correct? 180 off?

yea we are running an aem ems on it and have no cels. I have replaced the plugs numerous times and the timing is dead on. I drove it fine for a day then it started to do it all random. Could it be a distributor problem?

if you think its a distributor problem, its possible. I had a crack in my dizzy befor and it had a starting problem. doesn't hurt to take off the dizzy and take a good look at it. also u might just want to find a friend with a similar set up and run his ECU, just for peace of mind that it is not your EMS

agreed, plus alot of widebands wont read below 10

Get your idle to 14.7ish, and then see where u stand.

Cant get it to idle.. Wont even turn on.. We are changing the distributor tonight and hoping it helps.. But was working fine a couple of days ago so might be useless. Fuel has been giving us issues since day one so might be that also.

Are you 100% sure your map sensor wiring is right. I've seen very similar problems on a car where the 5 volt power and signal wire were mixed up and the car wouldn't start.

Have you put new plugs in it since the problem? Plugs can get fuel fouled and not start.

Try resetting the map back to stock (what the fuel inj will allow at least). Its a big possibility that its flooding. Do you have an aftermarket spark system?
