Default 00 Civic Si: CEL! (o2 sensor low voltage)

I was driving down the road, car hit a huge uprising from road construction workin on a bridge. CEL immediately came on. Primary o2 low voltage code.

I have heard, even if i fix the problem, the engine light will come back as obd2 cars STORE it unless removed by a code scanner. Even if i disconnect the negative battery terminal the light will come back eventually. True?

If you disconnect the negitive cable from the battery and leave it off for a min. the ecu will reset itself and the code will be gone. Not saying the code won't come back, because if you haven't fixed the problem it will come back.
