Auto tranny question?
I am wondering on a auto tranny how much hp can it handle? the reason y im asking this is because i will be doing an overhaul soon on my integra 4d. I want 2 get a little more hp out of it. Its not for racing, its just a cruise car. I just want a little power behind it and i want 2 know how much hp a auto tranny can handle safely w/out breaking.
I want 2 do some what of a N/A. I am adding bolt ons like header and coldair intake. so would that be enought or could i do a little more like up the compression a little or get better cams gears? or cams? Please let me know what u think and give me some of ur ideas if you dont mind.

You are gonna get bashed here bud asking this type of question, but an auto tranny can definitely handle bolt ons you are talking about. Unfortunately, even after doing the things you have listed, it will still not be as quick as a stock 5 speed car. Good luck!

Thats true. Your money would be better spent doing a 5spd swap, BUT if you live in the city or like/ have to drive an auto, than yes it will handle the bolt ons. Also level 10 performance has some pretty trick automatic tranny products for our cars. Good luck.
yeah, thanks for the info and im also doing all this on a budget also but ive had 5 speed trannys but it got boring n i wanted 2 b lazy so i got a automatic, and im making mine a nice and luxury bc i want 2, and thanks for tell me
even adding the best boltons probably won't get you much more power to the wheels than a stock manual tranny engine. not only is the LS useless for NA when its manual its even more so with an auto
