Default Did some wheel polishing.......*pics*

my boy has some aluminum welds on his stang that were lookin dull so I went to work on them. I used a aluminum compound followed by an aluminum fine polish both by Wolfgang. Polishing was done via rotary with wool pads specifically for metal polishing.

after

I use a milwaukee rotary, thing is a tank lol. I have a PC, it is useless for paint correction. It will do the job, but takes ALOT longer than a rotary. I only use my PC for glazes, waxes, or with a brush attatchment to clean carpets.

Rotary FTW

UDM is pretty good I hear, but I have no need for one.

I will look into those, have you heard anything about the dewalt? I have seen a few of those and I know they make quality tools, I just don't know about their buffers.

I have the same rims on my mustang, and the look the same as before. Did the compound do much, or can I get away with just the polish ? Did you use the rotay to get into the "holes" or did you use a power ball or something similar ? Can you reccomend any other products besides wolfgang that you've used ?

the compound did most of the work, the final polishing made the metall really "pop". The roatry got in the holes fine, the wool is thick so it gets down in the holes pretty good. they also make a wool ball like a powerball that works great too, better than a powerball IMO.

All I have experience with is the Wolfgang products so I cant help you with that. I have Mothers powerball and the polish it came with and the Wolfgang polish is FAR better.

I was thinking that it would be tight to get a rotay into some of those places. I will try it with my makita, I am read here and there on autogeek, and see that they have the metallwerk.

autogeek is where I get my stuff. I use the metalwerk compoind and polish. their concorous polish is too expensive to my liking but im sure it gives amazing depth. maybe if I have a real expensive car or motorcycle to do polishing on I will pick some up.

if you are concerened about tight areas, get that wool ball they offer. I have the 3" one and it really is like 4.5" in diamater. I havent had to use it yet but I imagine it would work great for nooks and crannys.
