i have a jdm b16 second gen engine and i was wondering which would be a better choice for a intake manifold? skunk2 pro or a integra type r intake manifold? i think they are about the same i think. what i heard was the skunk2 is like the itr im but i was wondering which would be better(power gain)? thanks for any and all help.
-i was also going to go with a 70mm throttle body from skunk2. is that the best brand(for power gain?) and is that a good size(to big?/which would be the best choice size?)

why do you want to change the mani? do you have any other supporting mods?
70mm is WAY to big for a N/A engine that probably has no internal mods....65mm is biggest i would go which should be type r stock sizing, port matched to the mani

i dont have much right know but will in the future. right now i have an exhaust system, intake system, performance wires and plugs (ngk iridium), bbk 255 fuel pump. looking on getting headers soon.
the reason why i want to look into getting a new im is because mine is reving a lot for some reason. so you think a 65mm throttle body would be a good choise and in the future i am going to be going in to doing the internals i just need to find a dyno tuner around where i live

its pointless unless you are running some type of forced induction or big cams. and once you start upgrading that **** its a money waterfall if you want the performance out of it, with the tuning and computer blah blah blah....

what are you talking about? why not FIX the problem instead of wasting your money on useless mods based on where you are at right now? you can be out a few hundred bucks on the mani/TB and still not fix your "revving" issue

will really i think the problem could be my ecu. i have a racing p28 skunk2 chipped. i think it could be that is why it is reving. another thing with that is my car revs and then the car will just die. revs to 1500 rpms a couple times and then it will just shut off. it might be because it is pretty cold where i live but not for sure. my friend said it could be that the engine is not getting enough fuel (fuel injectors needed or cleaned) i think it is some thing in my ignition because i had the fuel pump just changed and it was working fine but then it got colder and it started dying again?

i think i fix the problem with the whole reving issue.
im going to be doing:
skunk2 stage2 tuner cams
'' '' adjustable cam gears
'' '' retainers and springs
'' '' 70mm throttle body (now is that still to big for this sit up or should i go smaller)
'' '' intake manifold (to go with the throttle body)
dc header (i donk know 4-2-1 or 4-1)
i already have an intake, exhaust,fuel pump,skunk2 chipped p28
-know do you think this would be a good site up?

I hope that buying all that will really fix your car.

still too big...leave a 70mm for forced induction
everything else is OK...make sure you have a good tuner though

the coil in the engine was bad for the start and stop problem and the reving was the intake was not on right and it was cold out so it was reving to get warm
-will a 66mm be an ok throttle body size with the set up because there is no 65mm and the skunk2 im is 65mm big so close to it
