Default Intermittent starter operation

I have a 96 Acura TL 3.2. 180 k miles. I have been experiencing an intermitent starter operation ( no crank). No pattern - hot or cold. Will crank everytime for months then will not crank at all. If I keep hitting the ignition over and over it might start.. I just hear a relay clik, the fuel pump runs etc. One time I tried another key and it started right up. Been using that key for awhile. Now it won't work. Tried old key and it started. Tried new key again - no start (crank). If I move the key around while instart position I hear electrical humminig. I had the ignition switch replaced at 100 k. All was fine until now. I have never seen switches go bad that quick. The only things attached to the key fob are 2 other keys so weight is not an issue. Is this common on Acuras?

hit the starter with a hammer, if it starts afterwards, replace it
