Default ebay rebuild kit

I'm thinking about getting one. I know it is from ebay all the parts are name brand. but Not sure if it is a good name brand lol . But for 360 I'm thinking real hard about it. here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem . After i went to sonsacura.com I started to price all the gaskets it was adding up way to fast. I was wondering if anyone has a kit like that from ebay. If you do how many miles since the install? had any problems during the install or after? I did seached this btw i just need more info.

i got a similiar kit and at 600 miles on a fully built turbo motor with the same bearings and piston rings and have no problems at all yet... goes to get tuned in a few weeks... only thing different i did was change oil pump with a type r one but if your not building yours for high performance then that one should be fine.. when you get it though before you open packages make sure its the correct parts and for the correct engine...

i used two of those kits on two of my cars and it works great... most of the parts are good except a couple gaskets you shouldnt use....

the important gaskets are quality in this kit

the ones that arent that good are the intake manifold, throttlebody, and oil pick up gaskets... and i think one more... its only cause they are made of some sort of paper cardboard.... those u should buy from honda.

also the timming belt is a different type of plastic or rubber which looks like it will run fine for a couple months but unlike the oem one which will stretch before failing this one looks like it would snap when its too worn out...

the water pump has cast blades to pump the water which are a little heavier than the stock ones which are basically 2mm thick blades... but it should work just fine...

overall for the price these kits are great... im already using my third one on my third engine... like i said as long as u dont use the questionable parts and u install them properly ull be fine.... make sure to check the block and head for warpage and to replace the headbolts.... torque everything to spec and the engine will defitnatly last a long time.

oh yeah and i totally forgot to talk about the piston rings and bearings...

both are absolutely great parts..... i was shocked that they dont cost more...

heres the thing though...

before you go and buy this kit if u plan to use the bearings and piston rings u need to make sure thats what u need....

cause if ur walls need to be bored and honed ur gona need oversized piston rings... and if ur bottom end needs to be worked on u might need undersized bearings...

so its never a good idea to buy bearings and piston rings before taking measurements...

I would just get his gasket kit that he sells for under $100 bucks, then get the rings and bearings seperate from him also, for under $100 then get an oem timing belt and water pump from http://www.hondapartsunlimited for around $120-140 can't remember. That's cheaper than his complete set with better parts. The only thing you'll be missing is the belt tensioner, which in my opinion is optional, its also like $50 from hondapartsunlimited.com

wow you are just ballin huh? its stupid to go to the dealer for parts unless its absolutely necessary. autozone usually has good priced parts. other than that i hit up ebay for name brand parts.

Well the reason i was not going to do OEM was b/c i didn't find a "OEM kit". So i started to price each gasket. It start to add up to fast. but i called sonsaura they told me there is a kit. They gave me the item number. So for 225+ shipping i will do OEM.
