hey everyone well the cops stop by my house today say that some of my Napier's are complaining that my car is too load which is not and this is the second time that it has happen the first time the cop was cool he really didn't care. so i was wondering how can i make my exhaust quieter i have a header, test, 2.5" invidia exhaust..

 

Keep it the same, tell your neighbors to expletive off and if they keep bitching you'll have all your friends with there loud *** cars come by every night just for the hell of it.

It worked for me nothing like 2 5.0s, 69 GTO, 84 TA, and a Dodge monster truck driving around at 2 am to get a point across.

But if u want be quiet put stock exhaust back on, and you'll still probably get bitched at for loud exhaust. or try putting a cat back on.

As far as making the exhaust quieter, you should install a cat and a resonator.

hey the cops stopped me tonight about the same thing "you have a modified exhaust" I just told him i bought the car that way I'm just wondering is it illegal to modify your exhaust in Cali. or any state for that matter? I have a cat, 2 1/4" exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. Just curious

lol yeah i was assuming that it couldnt be that illegal if anything. I think that the only reason he said it is cause he supposedly pulled me over cause my car matched the description of some car he was looking for and the said car had modified exhaust. So he said "oh by the way your exhaust is modified and that is illegal" i just acted confused and he left me alone.

i know in washington the law says "any performance or noise enhancing modification" is illegal. in other words anything other then a stock exhaust unless it somehow lowers your hp and db's at the same time is illegal haha.

i have got this ticket a couple times... it's only $64 and when he is explaining it to you, don't say "that's all? can i pay it right now?" because the cop will not think it is nearly as funny as you do

Do what I did with my last Honda.

Get the nuisance "fix-it" ticket.

Pay the bullsh!t ticket...or tickets.

After the 4 or 5th time the judge gets to know you and dismisses the tickets cause he knows you're not gonna "fix" the exhaust. The judge finally asked me one time when I was gonna fix it and I told him it wasn't broke and so I had no intention of fixing it. He threw out the tickets after that. True story!

I tried that once in a friends ej20 legacy... the ****** said " NO BUT THEY'RE COOL SO IT DON'T MATTA BOY..."

Thus the reason i wanna cut all v-twins in half with a plasma cutter.

Trust me, i've been through the rounds enough to know that. They can't expletive with you for pointing out when they are blatantly wrong. Like how every 302 stang or 350 firebird in my town runs open headers and they catch no greif for it.
