Door Locks on CRX

i wouldnt assume it was stolen. sometimes the crx ignition switch goes out on its own, and the owner replaces it with another OEM unit. honda sometimes matches all the keys and locks to one another for an additional charge. that person probably chose not to.

Yeah im going to call the service dpt at a honda dealership and see if they have the specs on file, since its an 88 im sceptical.. Hopefully a locksmith wont charge an arm and a leg if Honda cant do anything for me

but when a ignition switch goes bad you dont replace the whole lock just the switch on the back. the whole lock is expensive and is usually only replaced when its broken off. and the dealership wont be able to do anything cause the car is so old. go to a locksmith.

I got lucky enough where a friend of mine got the key code for my car, but the advice i got to get the key code without your VIN (since its a diff door) is to pull the lock out and get the code off the lock, but i dont know specifics.
