AFTER searching Here, and EPh- BRAKES Burnish-Turn Rotors or NOT?
OK AFTER searching Here, and EPhatch, and Google...
my new Hawk Ceramics just arrived in time for the snow tires to go on together...
------------------------------------------------------------
i searched and asked this same question a few weeks ago on ephatch- no replies...
i saw a lot of "Don't turn your rotors, they wear out faster"
and i'm supposed to "Burnish the ceramics into the rotors first!" according to Hawk
-----------------------------------------------------
ok, if they are not that worn, And i keep the stock rotors (52,000 miles)
1. should i try to burnish the new pads into them without having them turned?
or,
2. should i turn them just to be sure i can burnish the ceramics the RIGHT way!?
I've never burnished a set before- Hawk says to do it! what do you think?
