ok so i have a greddy evo 2 exhaust, its waay too loud, and looks a little too ricey. so im looking to keep the pipe, but change out the muffler. i want something that sounds like a type r muffler. or would a type r catback harm my performance a lot? with it being a smaller pipe and what not? i mean i know it will, but how much?

You could just get the type r axle back portion.

 

well i have that, but it wont fit cut the pipe is too big, no worries, i just found exactly what i want. an RSR exmag. beautiful. now i cant find the muffler. i can find the full catback, but not just the muffler : (

 

I am pretty sure it will still bolt on. I mean, if you can bolt an aftermarket axle back to a stock exhaust, why wouldn't you be able to do it the other way around?
