JDM DC5R Exhaust?? Thoughts, Reviews, Opinions?
Hi I would like to know if anyone has a DC5R exhaust on a stock a slightly modded 02-06 RSX type S? I'm looking into buying one. My reasons for interest; OEM quality, Better flow, Quiet, Decent Price.
I also know they have a special valve in the muffler which helps with sound and torque.
Please chime in if you have one. thanks

DC5R B-pipe = 05-06 Type-S B-pipe
The muffler can is identical to the 05-06 except for that internal flap you mentioned.
I have the DC5R muffler and to be honest I cannot tell when that flap opens and when it doesn't.

so the dc5 b-pipe is identical to the 05-06 type s b pipe!?! so does the exhaust seem louder at all or any other details u might have?

I have a DC5 R muffler on a 06 Type S. It has a deeper sound to it. I can't tell if the flap opens as well but I noticed the tone is deeper.

I have an 05-06 B pipe with a type-r axleback on my 02-04. I came from and HKS Hi Power catback and i can notice a little loss in the top end area. Not to much to cry about but the sound connected to a race header is none other. All I hear now when fully accelerating is the CAI and raceheader. Ill take the quiet oem sound over a little top end anyday.
word.. hmm i share the same opinions. I've had my fair share of unrestricted exhausts on my old civics, but its time for something more reasonable. I love the sound of the k20.. so i cant wait to get the dc5r exhaust. But is it true that the 05-06 b pipe is identical to the type r b-pipe. Anyone know the diameter on it?
i just put the 05-06 exhaust on my 02-04. I went from loud *** OPAK exhaust to sweet sounding quietness. Can't beat OEM.
If i remember Todd and a whole bunch of other people said the B-pipe is exactly the same as the B-pipe on the TypeR. Only difference was the axle back. hope that helps a bit.

i actually talked with somebody who did testing on that and yes 3" is good with a k-series motor BUT i do not want to sacrafice sound for performance on a DD. I would do it if my car was a track car only.
