Default SOHC ZC Swap

Curious, I am going to swap a sohc zc into my 90 Civic Std. Now, the axles and shift linkage, where would I get those from? Also, is the zc transmission or the si tranny better? What ecu works, does the one from the dohc zc work? Thanks in advance

if you are using the ZC transmission u will need the ZC intermediate shaft with integra axles. the zc intermediate shaft is hard to find....my friend swapped a SOHC ZC into her CRX. shes lookng for a SI tranny now since she can't find a intermediate shaft for the ZC tranny.

The SOHC ZC tranny is not similar to the DOHC ZC tranny. It does not have a half shaft, infact IIRC it's exactly like the Si tranny, use it. If you use an Si tranny you can use all your stock parts (shift linkage, axles).

Basically a SOHC ZC swap is like dropping an Si motor in your car, all you need is MPFI swap and a PM6 ECU.

I miss my SOHC ZC.

SOHC ZC does have a intermediate shaft....i'm almost postive. i've been looking for one for my friend for over a month.

ZC tranny has even shorter gear ratios then the SI...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by supracrx &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">ZC tranny has even shorter gear ratios then the SI...</TD></TR></TABLE>when you take the final drive into account, the ZC is only shorter in 4th and 5th, but not by much - the Si transmission is better for acceleration

with final drive, gear ratios are: (the higher the number, the shorter the gears)

ZC
1st - 12.63
2nd - 7.56
3rd - 5.22
4th - 4.01
5th - 3.41

Si
1st - 13.81
2nd - 8.05
3rd - 5.35
4th - 3.98
5th - 3.28
