Auto / Automatic to Manual Transmission ?'s. 92 DX => 95 Si / EX (sorta long)
Ok, I'm taking a chance by posting a question about the timeless auto to manual tranny swap. I'm putting in a 95 D16Z6 into my 92 DX while converting to manual (VX Tranny heh). I plan to do this on my own, in my garage, with hand tools.
How long do you think it will take to complete this task?
Also, I'm still unclear as to which mounts I need to replace. I'm pretty sure I have to get the PASSENGER SIDE TRANNY mount (same as passenger side ENGINE mount?) which should be cut and welded on, but are there any other mounts that need to be replaced??
I've heard something about the rear engine mount (not sure which one) on the 95 EX chassis being different than all of the other Civics. Since the engine I'm putting in comes from a 95 EX, I was wondering if I needed to get that particular mount in order to make it fit into my 92 DX hatch chassis.
