Default New rims Question

i just bought an 01 civic in silver and was wondering what rims to get...some input would jbe nice....i cant decide between green rota grids w/ 215/45r17 tires or green JSPL w/215/50r16 tires. what do you guys think? 16 or 17...im racking my brain here and cant decide...i saw the pic of the kid with the starks and still cant decide...i like thick sidewalls but dont know if 215/50 might just be too thick...am i just being retarded...or is there really that much of a noticeable difference between the two...any info would be great...

thx

green wheels make the car look aggressive, if you dont have anything to back it up, it will look really bad.

the paint on the grids isn't really nice, i've seen many sets in real life, the paint makes them look really cheap/tacky.

out of your choice i'd pick JSPL's in anything but green unless you have mods to support the "green". for tire size i'd recommend 205/50/16 - they are perfect for our cars.

the kid with the starks has 225/50/16, thats why they look meaty...

I love how you call me a "kid", even though I'm older than you.

And, I have 215/50/16's, which are the perfect size for the car. Overall tire height is identical to stock, which is what you should be trying to achieve.

1010tires and miata.net both have really nice Tire Size Calculators, to help figure out what size tires you'll want. Personally, 16" wheel are the biggest the car needs, but that's all down to personal preference.

Welcome to the site, though.

Well, I've got RS-Betas on the car now, if that makes you feel any better.
