Default LOOKING FOR 07 OR 08 CIVIC SI SEDAN BY SATURDAY

OKAY, SO IM READY TO PURCHASE ONE OF THESE BY SATURDAY. I KNOW MSRP IS A TAD UNDER 22K FOR THIS CAR. WHAT SHOULD I NEGOTIATE FOR?

ALL I WANT IS A SIMPLE WHITE ONE, NO NAVIGATION. I ALREADY TOLD THE LOCAL DEALER THAT IM IN THE MARKET TO PURCHASE ONE BY SATURDAY AND HE LOCATED A WHITE ONE FOR ME ALREADY AND CAN HAVE IT IN TODAY, BUT WHAT PRICE RANGE SHOULD I SETTLE FOR OUT THE DOOR (TAXES LICENSE, EVERYTHING)

HE GAVE ME A BALLPARK RANGE OF 25K ALREADY, BUT I SAID THATS TOO MUCH AND TOLD HIM I WILL SETTLE IN THE 22-23K RANGE.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Is there a certain reason you need it by Saturday? If the dealer knows that you are in a hurry he will use that to his advantage when it comes to negotiation. The more of a rush that you are in typically = more $$$$.

ya, its not a good idea to tell em when you want to have the car by. Cause then they know you're not willing to wait for a better price. If they think you're gonna take ur sweet time, they'll lower the price just to get you in the car and off the lot faster.

well, I guess when you got your car, they were still making these that are out. The dealer is the on in clairemont. Mike hamel is the guy I talked to, he said he has two available and can get them overnight if needed. They want just under 24k for the white si OTD. Havent calculated payments or anything like that yet, but I'm putting probably 4k down leaving 20k for 5 years, so rought 333/month + insurance will be over 400/month.

Still debating if I should just get an LX hahah, but the si's are sooo dam nice

WEll, I guess I'll just tell them i'll wait at this point and not in a rush.

Then tell them to get rid of the markup. It's just an individual dealer thing that they do to make more money. The Sis have been out for a while. If they really want to sell you the car then they'll do away with the markup.

Don't settle for something you might regret later on. If you really want the Si then go for it. I've heard too many stories of people getting the EX wishing they had gotten the Si instead.

My 07 Si was marked up $7,000 when I bought it in 2/07 brand new. I walked in there with my check book in hand and said I won't pay the markup. Ended up getting it below MSRP with added options. If you got the funds ready they'll take you seriously. Helps when you roll up in a nice car as well. lol Si's are in demand but not everyone can afford one and not every dealer is selling them like hot cakes.
